Do You Recognize Sports Handicapping Tendencies?
Everyone knows about streaks, they come and go. I like the hot streaks, but I don't brag about them, and I don't make excuses on down weeks because I know we will get some good breaks too. Being in this business long enough, I have tried to design our service around removing everything I hated about professional handicapping.
Here is the problem as I see it.
The only way for anyone to learn the tendencies of a professional handicapper is to have long term access to them, and most professionals charge way to much, so very few ever get to learn about the handicapper they are playing with.
How Well Do You Know Your Handicapper?
Buying individual plays is risky because you don't know weather the handicapper you're purchasing a play from is hot or coming off a hot streak. In any case you are paying between $10.00 and $50.00 for a play. You might know the handicapper by name or reputation but you won't know if his play is on a hot or cold streak. Buying "guaranteed" picks is great, but if you buy five "guaranteed" picks at 50.00 a pop and go 3 and 2, what have you gotten? At 200 units you won 600, loss 440, and paid 150.00 for the picks. That comes out to a net 10 unit profit. What if the “guaranteed” picks go 2 – 3 you have 400 units, loss 660 units and paid 100.00 for the picks.
Get to Know Your Handicapper
Our whole approach is to be relatively inexpensive, this way you get to watch me for a year and at some point you will know when I am right and when I am wrong, my tendencies. Now don't call me and tell me "hey Mark, you did this week remember, you’re on the wrong side". The fact is, if you stay with a sports handicapper long enough and learn his tendencies, you will be able to predict things. You will start to lay-off when down streak hit and ride the hot streaks and again, the only way to do that is to develop a long relationship with your professional handicapper and have full access for long periods of time. Bottom line, if I can hit 55 to 65 percent and you are on your second year with me, you should always be 5 to 10 percentage points ahead of me.
